What?! That's the first time I ever heard about it and apparently it is already almost finished and got a release date in Germany already.

Here's the premise:

"A weekend cruise on a luxurious party yacht goes horribly wrong for a group of old high-school friends. They forget to let the ladder down before they jump into the ocean for a swim. The boat proves impossible to climb. They are stuck in the water many miles from shore, with baby Sara left alone on board. Sara's mother Amy must contend with her aqua-phobia as well as the group's increasing desperation, as the friends begin to turn on each other. Soon the exhaustion of keeping afloat and the struggle to get back on board begin to take a terrible toll. The happy reunion turns into a fight for survival..."

What the Hell? It's not April 1st is it? That film hardly needed a sequel. I hope they actually had a budget this time because the first looked like absolute crap.

Ah, the troubles of forgetting a ladder...

When will they learn? The key to a hit sequel is to make it to a movie people loved, not just one that made money.

Well, considering this probably costs less than $5 million...they won't have hard time breaking even.

I think this will make around $10 million or so...?

I didn't say anything when the Garfield sequel was made, but they've crossed the line.

I mean it 's not like OPEN WATER was really good anyway to qualify for this.. The movie was quite the snoozefest and to this day, the 1 Critic that says this was quote "More Terrifying than JAWS" should've had his Critics License Revoked..

As far as I know the movie has nothing to do with Open Water, they just chose the title for the german market to cash-in...

I suppose. They named a movie Action Jackson 2 although it had nothing to do with it...

I think this is the movie called Open Water 2 in germany:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0470055/

I don't see anything connected to Open Water there

here's a movie that doesn't need a sequel, despite being a good movie.. (or because of it...)

I would so be there, I'm not kidding.

Open Water 3... when a team of climitologists go up to the arctic, all the ice melts from frozen water, so now they must float to shore while being ravaged by angry penguins and drowning polar bears.
