Seriously, that looks creepy...they took a similar style approach as Saw, though.

Yet another Lionsgate horror franchise, mmm. So far they're 1-1 in my books, Saw has been great, while Hostel was a miss.

The director and cast choices are definitley interesting.

William Friedkin's return to horror. :2thumbsup:

Great cast, too. Can't wait.

I thought this was supposed to be an Oscar bait drama...Isn't it based on an award-winning play? Would that really make it a "horror franchise"?

I guess not?

Maybe not a franchise, but it certainly is marketed as horror...

It's supposed to be a psychological thriller. I remember reading reviews from Cannes saying it was Friedkin's best film in forever, but were worried that Lionsgate would mismarket it as another Saw while turning off the art house audience that should really see it.

It'll be interesting to see what happens. Personally, I'm really looking forward to it. Ashley Judd's comeback role?

Ha! Considering the *rest* of his career - outside of a handful of projects - that doesn't mean much

Even better. Gives it potential to be one of those surprise gems.... yknow?

I....I don't even know you are kidding....

But I was shoked to find out that Friedkin directed it.

Then again, I think The Exorcist is the most overrated horror film ever. :D

Of course I'm kidding.

Friedkin has made two good films - The French Connection and The Exorcist. Both of them happen to be hugely overrated.

Still, I have hope for Bug. The plot is interesting, and if nothing else, Friedkin should bring an interesting visual style to the film.

Well, the name of the picture is Bug. We shouldn't expect much

I second the hope for an interesting visual flair. He can be a decent director... and exploit fear. Course, he had religion in the Exorcist, which is quite powerful by itself....

Oh, I thought this was a sequel to Bugs Life. Thats some name for such a film.

A little too "Saw-ish" for my taste, but I still like it...

and Ashley Judd is getting early raves (and I mean real raves), so it'll be hilarious to see a poster like that for an oscar nominated film...

At least Judd isn't playing one of her usual "tough woman"/crime thriller part...

The poster reminds me of the scene of the exorcist where reagan spells help me on herself.
