WOW!! I'm so happy that HULK II is still happening and now a tentative release date of 2008 is in the works.. I like how they'll still concentrate on the anger issues in the HULK, but I'm still not so certain GALACTUS is gonna work out properly in FANTASTIC FOUR 2.. Bringing GALACTUS in is gonna be very heavily FX loaded and their gonna have to beef up the budget to do this right.... Also, SPIDERMAN III is looking more and more AWESOME and the Summer of 2007 can't get here soon enough.. Avi Arad on Spidey 3, FF2 and the Hulk Sequel Source: Kevin Roegele May 26, 2006 'Kevin Roegele' tells Superhero Hype! that Marvel Studios' Avi Arad revealed some new bits to Empire magazine: Avi Arad talks about future Marvel movies in the latest issue of Empire magazine. The article confirms not only that Galactus and the Silver Surfer are odds on to appear in FF2, but that the Hulk sequel in 2008 will be titled The Incredible Hulk. Here is everything he says: Spider-Man 3 "This is definetly a '3' in terms of scale. Movie one was origin, movie two was, 'I cannot do it anymore,' and movie three is, 'I'm powerful, what does that do to me?" Regarding Venom: "I don't know about Venom, I know about Topher Grace!....The black suit is a metaphor for Spidey's mental state. In Spider-Man 2 we wanted him to put the suit back on; here we'll want him to take it off. He cannot be the Peter we want him to be unless he takes the suit off...." Fantastic Four 2 "It's a couple of years later and we get to see what their life is like. What else is there for them to accomplish, what issues are in their lives, where's Doom?" Regarding Galactus: "They'll be some pretty big surprises. What we're trying to do is not to show him, but to show someone else, initially." Hulk 2 aka The Incredible Hulk "It's still a study in anger. It's more a love story between Bruce and Betty. It has the feel of The Fugitive, and Bruce is on a mission to get rid of the Hulk. When you see the Abomination, you'll see something really special. |

The Incredible Hulk is one crappy name. It sounds way to similar to The Hulk, it should be either The Hulk 2, The Hulk Returns, or something without Hulk in it altogether. |

I don't mind The Incredible Hulk. Hopefully, they'll hire someone who is competent enough to do good action, while is still good at drama like Lee. |

He's obviously proven jaded fanboys wrong on X3 being a flop and the movie in my oppinion is better than the 2 Singer made.. I'm starting to believe that Bryan Singer is overrated.. |

Neither one of those movie's were far from perfect and I bet anyone who does consider themselves "Comicbook Experts" on both franchises could punch holes in both of them.. Ladies and Gentlemen: You have the comics and then you have the movies, just like you have the Novels and then you have the Adaptations of the Novels and NONE of them are ever 100% spot on and that especially goes for the comics.. |

Most of the disappointment stems from the "fact" that the movie never rises above mediocrity, not because it doesn't slavishly follow the comics. |

I can't wait for a new Hulk movie. I know you will be excited BKB, as will I. I hope they can get a director that can incorporate more action like the tank battle in the first but make it darker and gritty. |

I think Alex Proyas, with enough time to get to know the Hulk, would be perfect. He is good with psychologically complex characters like in Dark City and has comic expirence with The Crow. His films, with the exception of I, Robot, are not overly long, something that Ang Lee had problems with in The Hulk. |

Brett Ratner might not be bad for The Hulk 2 actually, if this one wants to become a hit it needs to eliminate all the bad taste the last one left. That means it needs to be a fun and entertaining as hell movie, over an artistic one. Ang Lee already did the "good" director approach, maybe it needs the other side of the spectrum. The Rat would be fine with me. |

Hulk better not come out close to Batman 2, it'll get spanked. I like the name though, it's more original then just Hulk 2 or copying other movies titles, im sure Hulk Returns would REALLY go well with people. Enough with your Ratner shit though, hell if it was up to you there would only be 3 directors working. Bay, Boll, and Ratner. |
