So we all know that every other music video director these days takes a crack at making a feature length film, and more often than not, they're pretty terrible. Every once in awhile, though, a gem will slip through (Fincher and Francis Lawrence, for example). So, I'm wondering which music video director's you'd actually welcome a feature from? For me...

Chris Cunningham
Bjork's "All Is Full Of Love"
Aphex's Twin "Windowlicker"
Aphex's Twin "Come To Daddy"
Rubber Johnny short

He's also done FX work on AI, Alien: Resurrection, Alien 3, and Nightbreed.

He has produced some of the most stunning, original, and downright terrifying visuals I've ever seen. Someone needs to give this man a big budget horror flick, ASAP.

Tim Hope
Coldplay's "Trouble"
Jimmy Eat World's "Sweetness"
The Wolf Man short

He has a distinct visual style that is a mix of live action and a kind of bizarre animation I've never seen before. It's kind of like cut out, hand drawn images placed on the frame. They interact with the live action, but it has a surreal quality to it. It's really quite stunning. I'd like to see him take a crack at fantasy film.

David Slade, who directed 'Hard Candy' is another music video director to experience some success in film.

Demian Lichtenstein (3000 Miles to Graceland) is one who definitely failed in transitioning into film.

What's the betting Sophie Muller and Gwen Stefani have had a long standing lesbian relationship.

I'd love to see a feature by Chris Cunningham, I'm unsure whether he could really pull it out of the bag enough to make a commercial success but any film by him would at least end up with a big cult following.

lol imagine the rating:

'This film is rated suitable for persons of 18 years and over. Contains mild violence, and some fuckin freaky shit you will find worringly attractive.

Here's Tim Hope's Coldplay video. The quality of YouTube really doesn't do it justice, but you should get some idea of just how brill this guy is...
