I use the phrase heating up loosely because Warner Bros. has been trying to get the film off the ground for almost a year. All we have to report at this point is that producer Donald De Line (THE ITALIAN JOB) has been brought on to shepherd the film and supervise a new draft of the script by Adam Goldberg. Goldberg recently wrote the currently shooting FANBOYS and the upcoming Fox remake of REVENGE OF THE NERDS. At one point a few years back, Adam Shankman was scheduled to direct with his BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE star Steve Martin scheduled to star."

Oh that's hysterical. At least the props manager will have an easy job. He can buy all those futuristic toys at Sharper Image.
