Hi, ok,

Here's what I'm thinking:

Suppose we come up with a basic premise for a film or whatnot (or we just steal it from a film), and this basic premise will be made known to all.

Then, each user who signs up is given one scene each (So, main character rescures monkey, or main character is turned into a monkey, etc.). The user writes the dialogue, etc.


Then, you send it to me, or whoever.


Here's the deal: I (or whoever else) cannot change anything in the submitted scene, but can try to add one or two lines (as few as possible) so as to connect one scene to another. The key is to make sure that the users don't know what the others are writing, so that, when the whole thing is presented, it ends up as this fantastic (and hopefully awesome) mess of a script!


What do you say???? Join up!!!

I think it would be neat. Maybe allow each person to give one word describing their scene to the next person (ie what they have in mind) and that's all they have to work with in connecting it:

Ex. Scene 1:

They are given an idea/word by you.

Scene 2: Scene 1 author gives 1 word to scene 2 author as a hint about how they might be able to link scene 1 to scene 2.

and then Scene 2 would tell Scene 3 one word etc.

The word doesn't have to be anything meaningful, it could be dumb stuff too.

This would lead to at least some type of chain, although it could be grossly misinterpreted (which might be the idea ;) ).

So, I'll basically give the initial idea to the first person, and that person tells the other the basic summary of theirs, etc.


Each user will send their scene to me, and I will post the entire 'film' at the end when everyone is finished!

Well, it could really be as long or short as, well, it depends on the # of people. I suppose if it's not that many, it would be a short film :lol:


Just to add: I guess I'll write the first scene, and then tell the second person the jest of it, and they will pick it up from there and do as they like.
