"One of the big roles still left to cast in Fox's big-budget DALLAS adaptation would be that of Lucy Ewing, played by blonde pin-up Charlene Tilton in the original series. So who better to ask to replace a blonde pin-up from the 70s than the premiere blonde pin-up from the 2000s. MTV reports that Jessica Simpson has met with DALLAS producers about the Lucy Ewing role though she has yet to be cast. Simpson confirmed the news to MTV saying getting the role would be "an honor for me" considering that she's "a Texas girl." Simpson would join John Travolta, Jennifer Lopez, Luke Wilson and Shirley MacLaine in the film, which is set to begin filming this fall."

I'll tell ya what I think about it: FANTASTIC!!! That's what I think about this.. I grew up watching this show every Friday Night and was there for the whole "Who Shot J.R" Storyline and the ratings this show incurred and I can honestly say that I picture Travolta playing J.R Ewing to the "T".. Travolta has proven he can play a Villain and quite well and his already slicked back gray hair looks natural for the role..
