How many movies have you seen in theaters in 2006?
New year, new race. I thought I'd traditionally open it as I started it in the past years as well, heh.
Rememeber, only movies that you saw in theatres count!
I finished last year with my all-time record of 105, I'll try to at least break 100 again this year.

I'll beat you this year, Lecter.
Once I get my license in a few weeks, it's pretty much over.

Wouldn't surprise me. This year is more important to me in terms of studying, I won't get out as much.
You still won't make it to 105, methinks. Neither will I, though, so...

I don't understand how you guys get these free passes. Do you have to live in a popular city to get these passes. I live in a crappy city so I doubt that free passes are even available here.

Why?
I've seen 110 2005 films, but maybe 20 in theaters. *shrug*. 105 means you wasted a lot more money on shitty films than good ones

Yow! What's with all the trash talk about seeing movies in theatres? I thought this would be the one safe place we could all revel in our love for movies on the big screen...

sorry but I have to ask this question ( as it is the only question I have in reviewing every post in this thread ), and I guess to all users of the world-wide-web except Lecter as the 40 Year Old Virgin came out in September 2005 in Germany, I guess those movies saty out there a long time. I wonder how many theaters there are in Germany that allow movies to stay out that long. Wonder is their moviephone for Germany on the internet or can another German user except Lecter answer?
and I guess this thread is movies seen in 2006 and in the theaters but nothing else matters as andaroo said above. I just remember, I have to go back and check the 2005 thread to see how many were over 175 ( more or else with 2 movies on Sat / Sun and then 1 during the week)

Haha, I work at a theater so I get to screen/or just come in and watch them for free. Plus at night after the last set I usually go and watch chunks of movies that I don't care to see just to see whats up with them.

I have seen American Beauty once again in theatres in 2004 and it just gets better each time you see it. I also caught a showing of Fight Club a few days after AB, the first time I ever saw Fight Club in theatres.

I have a love for film, there's another thread here which goes into detail my experiences in movie houses.
Last night, during Munich, I can add, people singing along to Al Green and this old guy with a deep voice talking to his wife the entire time, and him saying "it's gonna blow up" every time someone picks up a phone.
At this point I am very much in a "fuck movie theaters" position.
They have done a shitty job this year of creating an environment in which I want to see movies and the rising prices there do not help their cause. I look at going to the cinema as a chore these days because of it.
