If BvS could not end the DCU, nothing will. Even if Justice league is shit, it will continue because it will still make over $300m.

Yeah DCEU movies would keep making money and that's why it look so long to hand them over from Snyder to someone else. WW is not necessarily a foundation for DCEU, I think Batman still is its foundation and is rightly the biggest attraction of the franchise but having a good movie always helps. WW was made for $150m so there was no scope of failure in this case, JL will be the better gauge of how far this series can go.

Even with shit reviews, BvS and SS made huge money by anyone's standards. Yeah, BvS should have and could have made close to 500 million with better reviews. But they still eclipsed most of the non-Avenger Marvel movies.

Most of the Marvel movies (The Avngers movies being the exceptions) don't cost $250m-$300m though. Warners probably has a whole group of people devoted to knowing how much money was left on the table.

The Hollywood Reporter says Danny Elfman is scoring JUSTICE LEAGUE (which makes sense with Whedon finishing the film, since Elfman came in to fix Brian Tyler's AGE OF ULTRON score).

Well now we know the tone of the film may be nothing like BvS.

Though... The thought of the Elfman Batman theme coming on during a pivotal Batman scene... Makes me giddy.

It's gonna be interesting to see how much of the Comic Con trailer is in the actual movie.

From what I know/have read, he's been working on writing scenes for this since March. Shooting all reshoots, and has final editing say. So... He has a pretty decent role.

We'll see how they classify it.

The DGA really doesn't like giving multiple directors credit for a film. I imagine Whedon will get co-writer and producer credits.

He will get the newly created "franchise saved by" credit.
