And the number 1 animated film on my list is

NUMBER 1

The Aristocats

Image

I love aristocats to death!! There is not one aspect of this flick that i dislike.

Thomas O Maley, Duchess, Marie, Toulouse, Berloiz and ofcourse, Scat Cat!! This is one of the most adorable cartoons ever made. The voice acting is great, its full of scenes that are memorable and has one of the best sequences of any movies, involving the Alley Cats! In animation, Aristocats rules supreme over all others!! at least for me.

This concludes the list. I'll be posting my entire list of animated films i've seen and their ranking shortly.

Man! The Aristocats has never shown up anywhere near the top of most "favorite animated films" list and indeed is near the bottom on a lot.

Oh well, it's just one person's opinion after all.

God, both of those are just painful to watch.

I think some people think fondly of these films because they remember them in childhood, but if they watched them today without that gloss of innocence they would see that they really aren't very good.

The Aristocats?

Really?

Well, better that than The Black Cauldron, I suppose.

Heh. I still watch Robin Hood when I'm in the mood, and I'm nearly 21. I'd watch Sword in the Stone, too, but it was sold in a garage sale years ago when my dad made my mom sell all our Disney movies that had any sort of magic in them (and for some stupid reason, that included Dumbo, even though there was no magic....). Yeah, my dad was WEEEIIIRRRD back then... Now I can go watch Harry Potter at the movie theater with him... on his suggestion!

You think that's weird? My dad used to lash me to sleep with his own willy. He still does from time to time... on my suggestion!

quite true. which is why i mentioned that animation is sometimes not the easiest lsits to do .. cause most memories are nostalgic and a lot of happy times are associated with them.

which reminds me, i'll be watching both of them again soon.

Eh, it was a good list, and then it fell way down with the end. Your top 3 pales big time in comparison to some of your great previous choices. In my opinion, of course. It's obviously your list, not mine.

PEACE, Mike.

Okay, I admit I haven't seen Robin Hood since the age of 11 or 12, but I like my fond memories of it. Same for Sword in the Stone.

Anyway, I don't even think I have *seen* 25 animated films in total to make such a list. I didn't grow up on Disney, I grew up on Evil Dead, Nightmare on the Elm Street and Stephen King's IT. Seriously.

My Top 5 of animation, however, would be:

1. The Lion King
2. Toy Story 2
3. Spirited Away
4. Ice Age
5. Robin Hood

I didn't say that. I said they pale in comparison. I just don't consider them #1-3 of ALL TIME worthy, when you had such great previous choices.

PEACE, Mike.

Ugh!

Akira is shit. Starts off with promises of candy and ends up in an empty wrapper. Can't believe people actually like it.

Akira had its issues. The concept starts off great but then it has long ... painstakingly long scenes, annoying music, unexciting explosions and a final battle between the 2 that made little sense to me.

I do believe that movie is impossible to understand with just 1 viewing.

Well its been a few years since I saw it so I can't accurately say. All I remember is wandering around afterwards drooling like a mental patient.

i thought Akira from a story point of view was very straight forward and its implications and symbolisms were quite obvious as well.
