 Re: Marvel/DC/Comic Book Movie Discussion
Collider brought up two interesting names for Hal/John.
Sam Claflin and Sterling Brown (who tweeted about wanting the role).

Like the Collider crew said it'd be cool & different after the GLCorps movie we then can have separate GL movies with Hal Jordan & Jon Stewart. Hell Yah!

Collider and most youtube movie news people can go fuck off. I watched them before I realized even i know more about movies than them.

I like the tease of the Logan score, seems very different. I actually loved the score to The Wolverine. Really glad Beltrami is back.

With both John Stewart and Hal Jordan. (ugh) They're ditching Snyder, but keeping Goyer. How does he still get work? CLEAN HOUSE WARNERS! But, as I've said before with the last few DC announcements, I'll believe it when they're filming. It's all just shit they're trying to throw against a wall right now.

 Re: Marvel/DC/Comic Book Movie Discussion
You only have to witness one follow-up to a high profile superhero film to know that the actors are the last people that have the authority to give information/spoilers, so asking is pointless. But Live By Night is Affleck's movie, so it makes sense to ask him about that and get juicy details on that instead of the blanket answer of "we're not allowed to say anything" regarding Batman. I don't know, but that's how I see it.

 Re: Marvel/DC/Comic Book Movie Discussion
It's probably not helping him that his new movie apparently isn't very good. If it were, and was in the Oscars race (or even just good), readers and viewers would probably be interested. Judging from the box office, they aren't. So he's stuck with Batman because more people care about that. It's probably a little embarrassing.
Also, if anyone has authority over answering questions about "The Batman", it's the writer-director-producer-actor of the film, unless he's been told by Warners to not say anything (which could be very likely). He might have a script that's ready to go, but they might be waiting to see how JL and to a lesser extent WW do with audiences and critics. If they make two more turds, can the universe even survive and move forward? It'd be a little easier if their original slate of 2018 films - Aquaman and The Flash - were on track, but no one seemingly wants to direct them (and who could blame them?). I don't think the DCverse could survive two misfires and then going silent for a year. He might be annoyed about answering questions because the film might never get made.

 Re: Marvel/DC/Comic Book Movie Discussion
My guess is that Wonder Woman will be a Man of Steel-level success whereby you have a faction that absolutely love it but its reviews aren't great. Justice League will just be BvS Mk.2, it looks shit and will be shit.

 Re: Marvel/DC/Comic Book Movie Discussion
Hmm, thought Wan left too. Just got delayed.
Talk about the ultimate lame duck movie though. If WW and JL both fail, DC's only hope in 2018 comes out in October. Hope it's cheap.

 Re: Marvel/DC/Comic Book Movie Discussion
I still believe WB/DC went about it all wrong.
Introducing WW, Flash in their own films prior to them joining forces would have been better. Likewise BvS would have been better of being made after these films and a prelude to JL.
Love it or hate it - they were on the right path with making MoS first.

 Re: Marvel/DC/Comic Book Movie Discussion
They don't need to follow marvel's plan. Create your own path & stick with it. MOS 291m/668m BvS 330m/873m SS 325m/745m
WW & JL will both do 300m/800m + at minimum this year.
Stay the course DC

 Re: Marvel/DC/Comic Book Movie Discussion
Wonder when DC will reveal their release dates or if they are just playing by ear. After JL we know we're getting:
Aquaman (only film with a release date) Gotham City Sirens The Batman The Flash Green Lantern Corps Justice League Dark Black Adam Shazam
And then there are the possibility of sequels like Suicide Squad, etc. Hm...

Black Adam, seriously? lol. DC isn't able to make z-list characters into successful movies. This will fail.

They can barely make their A-listers into successful movies.

I was clearly talking about their more current crop, but sure, 11 out of 26 ain't bad.

Off an $82m opening day... Anyways, I think this Black Adam movie is gonna replace the Shezam one on the schedule. And that is smart. The Rock is the biggest star they have right now and he should be front and center.
