He's no more or less of a star than Jason Momoa.

I'd say Joe Manganiello is a bigger star than Jason Momoa; he's done a lot more on both TV and in movies, and he bagged the more currently relevant wife (Sofia Vergara vs Lisa Bonet). I don't know if he'd make a good Deathstroke though, since his main talent (looking good without clothes on) won't work for Slade.

I also think Deathstroke is a poor choice for a villain in a Batman movie. For one, he's always been more of a (Teen) Titans villain, while Batman has a vast array of rogues that they could pick from. Secondly, we just had a HUGE hit this year featuring a parody of the character in Deadpool, and given how that was well-received while DCEU films have not been, I don't know if they'd want to draw the comparison.

I don't think anyone remembers that. They're more likely to think this casting is for Deadshot than Deathstroke.

I disagree. But let's just say she is "hot" ... that's all she has. When she starts to act is when she becomes useless. This isn't a bikini contest. This is a film. It doesn't need attractive people. It needs people that know what the fuck they're doing as a character. She doesn't. And it's because she is "hot" that she doesn't even bother to try learning to act. She feels she already has enough to get by. Her marriage to Johnny Depp is still her biggest accomplishment. lol

I heard she was great in The Danish Girl, but I have only ever seen her in Pineapple Express. So I can't really judge.
