I really have to watch Whale Rider. It's been on my list for years.

Although Empire Strikes Back is my favorite Star Wars movie and it also shows up in my top 100, it's not my number 1 pick, but it has what I consider the number 1 original score ever. Great pick.

And 3 matches in your top 10.

Franchise dominance! I might've listed Empire at #1 a year ago, but the most recent viewing of the trilogies put Rings over the top for me. Kind of surprised that you picked Rises over TDK though! Maybe it's just me almost always loving the second film in my favorite series the most.

How much longer does David have on his ban? Corpse is up next, but if it's just a day or two I'd vote wait. Your call, Corpse!

Huge kudos on putting Whale Rider on there. That was going to be one of my surprises on my list. Oh well.

I'll begin in an hour or so and probably finish before or shortly after David's return.

The Descent was a close call for me. Really great movie. The Descent 2 not so much, but we can't fault it for that.

Some of Mizoguchi's and Lang's films need to get more votes on imdb, so that Magnus will be able to enjoy them, too.
