Well it might have a bit of trouble getting girls to the theater, but mostly every 20-35 year old woman from my screening was speaking very highly of it. My sister (21) loved it and wants to see it again. I think Angelina Jolie has piqued overall interest and awareness in the female demographic. James McAvoy is a very trendy actor with high appeal to the type of women who fuel trends. Jolie in general raises the profile of the film and Morgan Freeman adds the integrity and a familiarity with older audiences that this movie needs. $44m opening at least imo. It's good for $175m

I think many women view her as a powerful woman of sorts. At least that's one of the reasons I like her.

Well, that came out of nowhere. And here I'd written it off.

I would really feel more confidence in this if Bekmambetov didn't repeat things he did in Night and Day Watch...

Wanted looks an infinite amount of times better than Crank. Crank looked interesting and was complete shit. This looks fantastic and we'll see what happens.

What do we make of Wall-E? Some people I've read randomly on the net aren't feeling the love after seeing it, unlike that extremely biased AICN review, where supposedly it was the second coming.

Down to 73% this morning. But you know what, all of the rotten reviews so fresh to me. They pretty much complain about too much violence and stay. "If you liked sin city, you'll enjoy wanted." I mean, duh!
A littl ebummed out I can't catch this tonight at midnight. But I'm so there tomorrow!

Re: Wanted - Best film of the summer (85% @ RT 33 Reviews)
Yeah, its average has been hovering around 6.8, so the overall percentage is destined to drop closer to it. Basically, similar but a little better than Crank (61%, 6.0 average) and Shoot 'Em Up (66%, 6.2 average)

Watched this last night, and it is a million times better than Crank. It bloody brilliant i must say, though a bit similar to the matrix. best movie ive seen so far.

Looks like it is going to finish with 75% and with a "Certified Fresh".
Looks like it was a critically and financially success!!

It certainly wasn't the best film of 2008, but it still was very good.

It wasn't the best movie of the summmer, but it still kicked ass and took names in a way that no other film so far this season has done.
"What the fuck have you done lately?"

I am hearing that there is an action sequence in this that rivals the scene in matrix where neo and trinity go to rescue morpheus.
