As much as I want to see Avengers sooner rather than later - 2012 would be better for it (providing Batman in 011)

I guess the fact that CA will end in a kind of cliffhanger where one of The Avengers' first scenes will be a continuation of CAs last scene - makes them want to go with the short frame inbetween.

Yeah Marvel are blowing there load far too quickly with these films.

2009 Wolverine
2010 Iron Man, Thor
2011 Captian America
2012 The Avengers

That would be perfect and just about guarantee Avengers No.1 of the year.
