ahmed.

that thing is completely tested. no cgi on that car at all. it WILL jump 40 feet horizontal, 10 foot vertical, has a top speed of 200 mph, takes turns at high speeds (we even have the video of that), and 0 to 60mph in less than 5 seconds.

Good Lord

But it doesn't turn into a big robo-goliath??

b) People must realize something very important. Burton's batmobile rocked!! but that was IN NO WAY the batmobile.

There have been 30 or so Batmobiles. I'm sorry bABA, if you want to get technical, look at the first appearance in Batman's mythos from the 1930s of the Batmobile. Nolan's Batmobile does not FIT under your definition of the Batmobile either.

The batmobile may have a cool look but it was always something gothic, mysterious and meant to put fear into the minds of people.

Hummers and tanks are not "gothic", "black" is not "gothic".

If people want to know what the real batmobiles from the comics and animation look like over the last 70 years, take a look at this:

There is no "real batmobile" it is ALL interpretation. Stop trying to define Nolan's vision of Batman as the definitive one when IT IN NO WAY IS. Neither is Burton's. They are all part of a larger puzzle which is Batman.

andaroo .. i am trying to say the same thing you just did. I actually posted the link for batmobilehistory.com. Did you not see it? i was trying to say that people who use burton's batmobile for non batmobilish look need to realize how different batmobile has been, not only in different eras but under different situations. There is actually no definite batmobile and i'm glad that with the one in Begins, they have tried to label it as a different car altogether.

nuts?? naah .. i had reservations about the car too .. i always thought it was the practical car to have and stuff in the "begin"ning but it took time for it to grow on me .. sometimes, it still doesn't look so cool.

btw, i still think WB should experiement with giving Bats the grey batsuit. its his freaking color and i'm too used to seeing him in that ....
