You are literally correct, of course, and I'm sure there are one or two Welshmen who would take aggressive exception to being so described - - however Magnus was joking about many of the roles he plays, not the actor himself.

I know. I just found it amusing because obviously there can be a "this-is-a-matter-of-pride" tension between being English, being Welsh, being Scottish, being Irish.

I loved him in Remains and Indian. Even though he's great in everything, he was A-mazing in those.
