*UPDATED* According to the link above, A Villain has been chosen for SPIDERMAN III and after reading the article, I'm inclined to believe that it is in fact VENOM and NOT Harry Osborn which would make no fucking sense since they built him up the way they did... VENOM??? I mean, that's a pretty complex character that has to have some buildup thrown in shouldn't it??? Can they introduce this character properly in 2 hours plus and get it right??? I said VENOM because the article goes on to say that they have the FX Technology now to make him look really good, but come on?? Harry Osborn should be the Villain I think since they built him up so much unless there gonna have the Multiple Villain angle again??? Hmmm. I guess will find out and whomever they go with, I'm sure Sam Raimi will do a kick ass job as always since he has such a fondness and caring for the SPIDERMAN Character..

Unlikely they will use a character like Venom that quickly in the Spiderman franchise. Its also unlikely they would just stop the Spidey movies at only 3, I heard sony is trying to aim for 5 to 6 movies. Who else would be left as an interesting villian after Venom? Only Carnage but that would mean it would stop at number 4. And yes Venom took about 5-6 comic books to explain his story in the Spider-man starting with the Sin-eater saga.

The CGI technology could be referring to the Lizard since Dr Connors does make an appearance at SM2 or maybe Mysterio or the Sinister 6 minus Doc Ock

Now I know I've stated in the past that Hollywood shouldn't beat a good thing to death when it comes to franchises like The Terminator or Batman etc, but SPIDERMAN has more villains than anyother Superhero I've seen and as long as Sam Raimi writes and directs these movies?? then as far as I'm concerned, they can make 5 or 6 movies, BUT only if Sam Raimi does it.. The moment they fuck up and bring in someone like Joel Schumacher, I'm done with it... Raimi is that Rare Director that actually loves this character and does him justice and part of the reason for this is that he takes the movies and rips them right out of the comics, the way they should be when making Superhero Adaptations.. I have my fingers crossed that this guy Chris Nolan can cleanup the Batman Franchise, but I'm weary to of it... The problem with the BATMAN franchise though is like David Goyer said in a recent interview with Quote: "Once you've done the Scarecrow and Ra Al Ghul, then what are you left with with the BATMAN Character?? Nothing"... "After that, you've exhausted all the villains that have already been done by Burton already and it would be nothing mre than a rehash in the eyes of the moviegoers"...
