Everyone who DISLIKED it?

That accounts for just about EVERYONE.

But there's an audience for just about anything, I guess. Some folks even listen to Ashlee Simpson. so there's no accounting for taste.

There's always a perfectly logical explanation for a film's failure. The Catwoman script was a mess, so all the actors choked on some of the worst dialogue written in 2004.

Laurel Hedare: For you, Patience, it's game over!
Catwoman: Its overtime!

The production values (from f/x to score) were so technically flawed that one can only wonder why Pitoff didn't remove his name from the credits.

 SHE SAID THAT?! Oh, I may just give this an F. A grade few films have gotten from me. Rarely does a film have zero positives, but with a line like that, any positives should be thrown clear.

The irony in all of this is that Catwoman's "transitional/spunky" costume while she is robbing the jewelry store would have actually worked as "the Catwoman costume" much better than the final one.

I agree. Sure, it wouldn't have made the plot any better, but at least the costume wouldn't have been so bad.

hehe check http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0327554/quotes out

"Lance: Man-sandwich! Four o'clock! "

"Patience Philips: [to thieves] Amateurs! You're just going to come in here and steal all these nice things? What a purrrfect idea! "

"Catwoman: White Russian, no ice, no vodka... hold the Kahlua"
Yes now i can see Catwoman sitting in an S&M bar pretending to be James Bond on a new marketing sponsership....

Laurel Hedare: If you have no identity, why keep it a secret?
Catwoman: Because you killed me.

Wait, dosent being killed require you to be dead? Hmm maybe im crazy.

Hey i cant exactly talk, im going to see the magical ressurection of Jennifer Garner Sunday nigth :D

Wow, I have seen the horror known as Catwoman. Lets just say that I thought it was going to be horrible, but it exceeded my greatest expectations. Every time the movie sunk to a new level of crap, it seemed to find that extra step to find another deeper layer of crap.

The dialogue is horrible, and most lines are groan inducing. Halle Berry's acting is terrible. I was literally about the scream if she tilted her head like a cat one more time, and as Catwoman she tries to deliver every line as super sexy, but it comes out the opposite. The CGI is laughable. The basketball scene was perhaps the worst in movie history (wrong on soooo many levels from the dizzying camera to the fact that Berry and Bratt were practically making out in front of a group of kids). The costume, while hideous, was probably the least of the movies worries. And, the villain...a brick face makeup mogul was just plain stupid - whose entire evil plan is to sell bad makeup. Benjamin Bratt also had to be the dumbest detective on the face of the Earth not to realize his girlfriend was Catwoman. There were times I was laughing and cringing at the same time. I was literally embarrased for the actors involved.

I will say that it is so bad in spots that it is almost entertaining, simply for the camp value. But, ultimately it is one of the biggest disasters I have seen in quite a while. So, if you enjoy the occassionaly Ed Wood or Battlefield Earth type movie or you are attracted to train wrecks, you might find some mild enjoyment suffering through it just for the camp value alone.

One might even say it was... craptacular, Tony =D>

But the genre can't really survive another "camp" experience, which is the main reason for the extreme caution being taken in recent comic-book adaptations. If you don't respect the source material then neither will the audience.

The FF film looks pretty good, although Constantine is going to suck bigtime.

Well, Algren, maybe i can make you finally shut up by seeing Elektra on Sunday, then Catwoman on Monday.

Yes im renting that abomination of a film - and in effect making money for the stupid studio that made it.

Punnery worthy of the film itself, Mr. X! Kudos!

I wouldn't know, since I didn't see it. That's why you've never heard me comment. Isn't it funny that enough people have bashed it to make you ask. Do you really think they saw it? I've seen that all too much before, so I don't give credibility to any bashers on the net, because 9 times out of 10, they are full of shit, and are clueless about what they are bashing in the first place. Too many people on the net try to "fit in". It's "in" to bash Catwoman, and many are bashing just because the other guy did, but it's much cooler not to comment at all. Which group would you rather belong to?

Amen to that. I am sure most of the people who piled on it have not even seen it. It is one thing not to see a movie because it does not appeal to you. It is another to bash it without seeing it. I did the same with POTO, the movie. But I had seen the third rate play and did not want to throw away any more money on that.

BTW, I have seen Catwoman and it is not very good. There were at least ten more movies in 2004 that were just as bad or worse.

I value my time to much to watch this film.

I am sure it snto the worse movie ever made, but its trailers were jsut so very bland and interesting, the dialogue laughable and cringewrothy. So even though this movie contains three actors I like, Bratt, Berry, and Stone....I had zero desire to see it.

I like bAba am a big Batman fan and I have yet to see a Catwomen on the big screen that was decent, the ones in the tv show had much more charm. I'll stick to them and the comic book.

Well CATWOMAN is winning at the BOX OFFICE so far.

Weekend 1:
CATWOMAN: #3 $16,728,411, $5,366 PTA.
ELEKTRA: #5 $12,804,793, $3,996 PTA.

Weekend 2:
CATWOMAN: #6 $6,445,488, -61% $2,067 PTA. 2 weekend total $29,776,003.
ELEKTRA: #10 $3,825,000 -70%, $1,194 PTA. 2 weekend total $20,233,000.

So yeah, CATWOMAN is currently $9.5M ahead, and fell 9% less on weekend No.2.

So, ELEKTRA is not only recieving worse reviews than CATWOMAN, but, now also worse WORD OF MOUTH.

I wonder, worldwide, who will come out on top.

CATWOMAN has grossed over $82,000,000 so far. Near enough on it's budget.

Elektra will probably finish with over $60,000,000 WW.
