Infinity War certainly made me excited for Endgame so that.

Re: Avengers: Endgame vs Game of Thrones final season The High Sparrow plot is a good example where they had Cersei and Margaery in jail at the start of season 6, knew what they wanted the big finale scene to be, but had no idea what to to with them the other 9 episodes until then. Whereas in the 5th season even if it was hardly the most popular plotline, the story had a direction and chess pieces moving with Tommen being manipulated by the High Sparrow etc. Likewise Dany is in that Dothraki camp until the 4th episode when it feels like the story could have been told in 1.
