2000: A New Cinemillenium
Letterbx says I am at 1970 films seen. My goal is to hit 2000 by the end of the year. With over four months to go that probably seems like it would be easy, but my work schedule is usally like 2/3-11/12 so its hard to commit 2 hours to anything before or after. So I need 30 off days (possible) and 30 movies to fill them with.
And I don’t wanna watch any ole thing just to get my numbers up. Looking for the ones that I’ve been meaning to see forever, or something I can check off a list of a very talented filmmaker. I have 3 unwatched rentals on itunes right now (American Psycho, Almost Famous, Enemy) and there will be atleast ten films I will see in theaters. So we are almost halfway there already!
I also know that for some of you 2000 might seem like a low number. Who else is in their second (or even third) cinemillenium? I probably hit 1000 pretty early on in my filmbuffdom, but have slowed considerably over the years. I would much rather go out to the theater than watch at home now.
I don't know how many I've seen in total, but I've watched 1970 since December 24th 2014 and 2000 since December 11th 2014. My list only goes back to 2007. Unfortunately, I didn't start such a list right after my birth. It's one of my biggest regrets and someone will have to suffer for it one day.

I'm a little over 10,000. I've shifted more towards TV in more recent years. But I still would say for new viewings I'm still over 250 a year.
So by 1970, that is 1970 entries/reviews/ratings you've made through your account?

10,000 is nuts, how do you even find new things to watch?
I get about 60 new releases in the year and then maybe 20-30 new old movies. Maybe a bit more this year since I got the 4K TV. And I feel like that is a lot.
1971 was Godzilla: City on the Edge of the Battle. It is basically Attack On Titan with Godzilla, so if you like the action scenes on that show then it is worth a watch. If not, I'd say don't bother. The story is weaker than the first and the big action finale is pretty much the same.

Into The Spiderverse brings me up to 1999.
I could just watch Roma tonight for #2000, but I want to make it more special than just another 2018 movie. So I'm thinking either The Devil's Backbone or The Blues Brother, two movies that I've been wanting to see for 10 years now but haven't because reasons..

You've already seen over 2000 movies, so it really doesn't matter.
But I recommend the Blues Brothers.

I have no idea how many movies I've seen in my life but it's probably not even close to 2000. WOW! Good for you!

You guys are way off
Even taking away 6 years from my life (Only 31) at 3 movies a week (I'm way closer to 9 though) is close to 5,000. I guess I'm not a TV guy. I try to end the day with some News (Though now I can do that over the phone, or at the gym which is really convenient) Dinner usually end with a film. I've always been kind of an insomniac though. I'm lucky if I get 4 hours of sleep a night.
Also get a Genie. That's so crazy addictive. All new films after 2 weeks in theaters (Though I recommend a month as then they'll have movie quality versions), tv shows, sports, every streaming platform for 100 bucks one time fee and then whatever you're internet is.

Well I didn't watch anything in between Spider and Aqua, so my #2000 was kinda lame instead of being special. But still!
