 Which potential future DCEU movie--
interests you the most? I decided not to include an option along the lines of, "Absolutely nothing. End it all. No more movies based on DC properties."

Re: Which potential future DCEU movie--
After watching Justice League, I'd have to say The Batman. Before it would have been another Superman film, but Justice League ruins that character for me so much that it could never return to the tone and style of Man of Steel that a sequel would need.

That means your poll is biased. I want to see a movie centered on the Penguin and the rise of his social status. He is becoming more sane and his evil acts more polished as he fights for more power. In people's eyes he is a hero while Batman, being more self-righteous, becomes a designated terrorist.

Re: Which potential future DCEU movie--
The next Superman film. Henry Cavill might be the only part of that series to survive. Maybe Amy Adams if she wants to come back.
Then...
Wonder Woman 2 Aquaman Flashpoint
I’ll get interested in the next Batman when they find their lead.

Aquaman and Wonder Woman 2, and surprisingly those are the ones currently green lit.

That means your poll is biased. Eh, no it does not. The poll name is "which potential future DCEU movie would you like to see?", not "would you like to see any potential future DCEU movie and which one would it be?". So just choose one. If your answer is that you wouldn't want to see any future DCEU movies, then don't vote. And if your answer is a theoretical, then this is not the thread for you.

They got Superman right in JL. I’m ready for a MOS sequel titled simply.....’SUPERMAN’

Re: Which potential future DCEU movie--
I'd like it if the DCU doesn't ever use titles with a 2 at the end. Man of Steel 2 just feels cheap. But also just Superman feels a bit meh. I'd like a prequel titled Krypton, just about Jor-El. Or a new Superman film called Kent, which could also be a prequel about his adventures growing up before Man of Steel. I just don't see that it makes much sense to have any solo Superman film post-Justice League. Not only is the character now ruined, but it's also too big. Everything that happens in a solo Superman film now will impact every other DCU film. Where do you go from Steppenwolf and Doomsday .... Darkseid? Then what? There is only so many super-villains to defeat, and most of the other gang cannot really contribute.

Re: Which potential future DCEU movie--
WW2 of course.
I think it will go-
Aquaman - 2018 WW2 - Fall 2019 Shazam - Spring 2020 Gotham City Sirens - Summer 2020 and this will absorb Suice Squad 2 and the Joker/Harley movie Wonder Woman 3 - Summer 2021
Then they will reboot with Flashpoint in fall 2021 and have that kind of serve as Justice League 2.

Re: Which potential future DCEU movie--
So you don't believe Matt Reeves' The Batman will be realized?

Re: Which potential future DCEU movie--
I think Reeves and Vaughn will make another film before they get around to their DCU properties. Flashpoint won't be a 100% reboot, but it gives them the opportunity to recast and retcon any unpleasant details out of the canon. I think that's the only way to make them the megahits that WB so badly desires.

No Batman or Superman for at least 5 years? Jeez. They're not that stupid. The Batman will be made.

I don't know. But I'd be happy if Affleck came back as Batman.

Re: Which potential future DCEU movie--
Not my most anticipated but I am keen to see what they do with Suicide Squad 2.
Gotham City Sirens is intriguing but I don't think Ayer should direct.
Man of Steel sequel would be nice but I'm not holding my breath.

Re: Which potential future DCEU movie--
Man of Steel is such a male chauvinistic title and a great example of the heteropatriarchy rampant in our society. Next one should be called Person of Steel, so that the when referring to it, POS is used.

Re: Which potential future DCEU movie--
I wonder how badly WB regrets having a middle-aged Batman. If he was 35-40 you could easily continue the character once Affleck leaves. But what do they do now? Are they going to start a new trilogy with this same guy, just with a new actor, like a Jon Hamm? How do they reboot that within this universe? Do you just pretend it never happened? Maybe open the new Batman with another Flash dream within a dream. That’d be awful, but they don’t have many choices. And they’re not going to keep Batman down for too long. He’s their cash cow.
They must kind of regret that Wonder Woman was a hit and Aquaman is pretty much done filming. A reboot would be so much easier.
I also wonder how much they regret just not making Superman Returns 2, have him fight someone like Brainiac, but keep a competent filmmaker in there like Singer (though he’s kind of on uneasy ground right now and Spacey wouldn’t still be Luthor) and just go world-build from there. The changes they would’ve needed to make from SR seem minuscule compared to this.

Re: Which potential future DCEU movie--
How many consecutively good films do they need to make for people to forget the disasters? One isn't enough. I'll go with three. That's a big ask considering they have a 20% success rate so far.

Re: Which potential future DCEU movie--
Replacing Ben doesn't seem too hard if he opts to leave. Maybe a Batman Beyond-type transition.
