 George A. Romero has died
Such a huge influence on horror with a film 50 years old in 2018.
Cue the obligatory "he'll be back" comments.

Re: George A. Romero has died
And Martin Landau...truly was a tremendous actor. He was so great in Ed Wood and Woody Allen's Crimes and Misdemeanors.
If we are being honest, Romero devalued his brand quite a bit with those post-Day Dead films. With his later output in general. But he is definitely a legendary name in horror based on his initial three zombie movies alone.

I think Land and Diary are both better than Day. And Creepshow was a lot of fun. And while The Dark Half is kind of eh, his direction and Hutton's performance were great.
RIP to two legends. Loved Martin on Entourage as well. He was just someone that always helped a film.

Re: George A. Romero has died
Landau's most memorable role for me was in North by Northwest. Romero was obviously a horror legend, but he is such a one-trick pony that I do not care so much.

Oh, I should say for Romero: Martin is great. The Crazies is decent, too.

Monkey Shines too, although there was studio interference that made him return to lower budget stuff.
