Wingo's "Midnight Special Theme" is awesome. But this thread belongs to "City of Stars".

Re: Favorite original scores of 2016
So you didn't like any scores from any film for the first 314 days of the year?

Re: Favorite original scores of 2016
Some films had nice scores, but out of all the films released this year I only remember three: La La Land, Midnight Special, and The Great Wall.

Nothing came close to The Neon Demon.
But I also really liked the scores for La La Land and The Witch.

That is fuckin hilarious. Still, that's one of my favorite scores of the year too, Super Mario World crib sheet be damned. Midnight Special, The VVitch and Arrival also stand out, as does Krisha, which everyone should go watch. And Moonlight! my god, beautiful.

It was completely mesmerizing on the big screen. I bought the Blu-ray but haven't watched it again yet just because I know it won't come close to seeing it on a big screen in a dark theater.
