I must say ...

Algren, you're almost always in last place.

Why do you think the guy in first place is cheating off of you? If he was just copying you, wouldn't he also be in last place?

Or are you saying he is looking at your predictions and then doing the exact opposite? If that's the case, why don't YOU do the exact opposite and then you'd be in first place?

It's not just me. It's everyone. I feel i.hope uses our predictions as a guide, then makes sure he doesn't go above or below them too much, which then over the course of 30 movies means that he comes out on top. He is playing the averages. Without seeing our predictions in the first place, he would have to actually predict with no guide to help him out.

And it's not just i.hope that I fear is using our predictions to help him out. ;)

Well how about you predict first this time then?

Sending via PM would make much more sense. I'd just have to trust Groucho that he doesn't use our predictions in the same way that i.hope does. I think I'd have no problem doing that.

Because you can change your predictions, does it matter who predicts first? More important is to come back at the deadline and review everyone's predictions and change yours if you want to.

It seems that Algren is at it again with the copying from others theory. When I was getting late he used the same accusation for me copying from him and picking out averages. I have won the game like two times only, so clearly if I (or anyone else for that matter) was using averages it doesn't allow you to win.

Though I would also like to see how stuffp's suggestiong of PM's would work here. I highly doubt Groucho or anyone cheats but just for the fun of it. We can also try getting help from one of the non-participating members to get the lists from all and send to Groucho after the deadline.

Regardless I would leave the decision to you guys. I only have suggestions but I love the current format of this game as it is now.

So Groucho, you're sticking with the current way of doing things?

Nobody is going to do that. And it takes quite a long time to change all of our predictions 1 minute before the deadline. I don't want to be a sneaky fox here, I just want a game where we can all submit and nobody is given an advantage.

It doesn't matter to me as far as doing the game, but I don't want people then blaming ME for changing my predictions based on everyone else's.

You know, when you send a PM, it will show in your Outbox if the receiver hasn't looked at it. That would be an easy way to tell if Groucho has looked at your prediction. Just make it known in the subject line for him to not open it until the deadline.

OK fine by me. It still allows me to predict last though, but I've done that before and it hasn't seem to do me any good. :)

As I said earlier, I don't care if Groucho sees my predictions. As long as he doesn't pass them to i.hope. ;)

Groucho you don't have to predict last. Just that once you are ready with your predictions keep them with you and post them with the others. Also I don't believe people will send you much changes (if any) since it will be difficult to remember all those predictions.

Sending predictions by PMs is a good idea. At least from now on, no one can have a reason to worry about others looking at their predictions and then whine about it.

I did not look at others' predictions when I was doing mine, except for the first couple times when I was new to the game. I did my own research and exercised my prudent (I believe) guess.

It's going to be so interesting this time because nobody can see other people's predictions. The range for some movies will be pretty huge. I cannot wait! Even if I am last again, I don't care.

You should listen to Wesley Snipes and always bet on black.

lol, some of the fresh/rotten decisions on Rotten Tomatoes are such bullshit. Here we have Dragon Blade with 3 positive reviews, one of which reads:

Whitney Scott Bain of Starburst wrote:
"There are some bright moments in the movie but, sadly, Dragon Blade is unfulfilling as a whole."

Does that really sound positive to you guys? I'd say that was a negative review. I hope it is corrected later on, because the film is a load of propagandist shit.

So far I have no predictions as of Friday morning unless my inbox is messed up.

When you predict, post something here so we all know. :)
