Really pleased with my performance so far, though Corpse will likely take the lead soon. I regret taking Age of Adaline, it looks unlikely to crack 50 million. But that should at least make it the second biggest round 11 pick after Aloha.

The Last Witch Hunter might be big.

Wow am I sucking so far. My round 5,7,9,10 films have all underperformed. Unfinished Business was an epic disaster.

While they all have potential, I'm not overly confident in most of my other picks. Tomorrowland, Terminator, San Andreas, and Pixels could all go either way. I'm not sure what to think of Vacation's move to the summer. I'm only really confident in Minions and Aloha.

If my picks are any indication so far, the rest of my movies will underperform too. LOL.

Wow, Hot Pursuit was an even worse pick than Age of Adaline. Never did I fathom it doing this bad. Like wow.

I drafted UB too. The trailer sold me but no one likes Vince Vaughan anymore.

Wow, poor SolC9. With the exception of Minions, Pixels and Vacation, all his picks look to disappoint, at least at this stage, unless Terminator and Tomorrowland overcome bad buzz.

With Monster Trucks also gone, Corpse needs to replace two picks now.

I may actually win round 11 with Age of Adaline grossing 45 million or so. Aloha looks to bomb hard and may not out gross it.

I think, and this goes for all picks, you can't really compare it to ones that were picked before you, since you wouldn't have had the chance to anyway.

It's picks that come after that outgross your pick that you did have the opportunity to "correct".

I'm getting worried about San Andreas. Might really not do well.

Ah shit. And it's a big one too. Pitch Perfect 2 was one I definitely considered and went for the less risky SA and Insurgent.

Beyond that, Pixels and Scorch Trials stand out as other would be picks now that the trailers and ad campaigns have started.

I's luck of the draw.

Even with the minor over-performance of San Andreas and probably Minions, my draft is a sorry looking set of movies right now.

Lol.
Normally I'd just say zwackerm and wouldn't be baited but your comment is really stupid. If it were pure luck, nobody would be interested in playing this game. Since we evidently can't have an intelligent discussion, I'll leave my comment for you to ponder over or ignore like you did already. Carry on.

What I meant was regardless of the fact that something may have been picked before you got the chance, it still raises their total, not yours.

Post Re: Box Office Draft 2015 - Group 2
My breakdown so far
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2- I'm hoping for 400 million, but all I need is a bit over 350 to win Round 1.

Ant-Man- I'm confident in a strong OW for this, but the legs look to be shitty due to competition from Pixels, M:I5 and F4. Should close below 200 million. Will rank near the bottom of round 2 :|

The Divergent Series: Insurgent- Pretty shitty pick, but not as bad as a few below this round. Still a respectable gross, but not what I was expecting (a mini New Moon) when I picked it. :|

Home- Amazing pick, guaranteed to win round Four unless Fantastic 4 is a huge hit. :hahaha:

Spy- Not my worst pick, but I expected much more for it. though I do have a chance to win if Maze Runner sees a minimal increase or a decrease or the Hateful Eight ends up on the lower end of Tarantino films. :|

Joy- I'm confident this will do 100 million, but I doubt it will match siulver Linings or American Hustle. No chance at winning; Pixels and Mad Max will make far more. Still a good pick.

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water- My best pick. Will do over 30 million more than the next Round 7 film. :hahaha:

Xmas- As long as this is a good film and its release isn't cancelled, it should do 100 million. Though I think Vacation will make more.

Hot Pursuit- Not a good pick, jupiter Ascending, The Intern and The Walk will all make more. :tears:

Entourage- Not quite as bad a pick as Hot Pursuit, but my expectations for this one got really high as release approached. Oh well. :tears:

The Age of Adaline- I was disappointed with this pick at first, but then it won Round 11, so I'm satisfied.

So I'll have to pick 3 new movies now that three of mine moved to 2016, or do those choices becomd void?

If I get to pick 3 others, then I'll go with...

Max
Ricki and the Flash
Goosebumps (or is this already chosen?)

I don't see how _axiom loses with his top 2 films combining for around 1 billion.

How truly embarrassing for Avengers: Age of Ultron. Ant-Man's got a shot of being worth more in this draft than it.

Basically the only two films that didn't disappoint from all of my picks. LOL. Thanks JW and IO! Though anything can happen. 2015 has been great so far.
