I don't mod this forum anymore. To the topic. Looks decent actually. I always like it when stars get off their high horses and try something that may not go over so well, or at least, less glamorous roles. Antonio Banderas has always done this. He was an Almodovar prodige (sp?) in 1990 actually, and was a complete fumbling dork in Women on the Verge. He's surprisingly not full of himself, and will experiment alot. For every big "Mask of Zorro" role he does, he also does something small and kookie like a vignette in Four Rooms, a children's movie like Spy Kids, or a bit part like in Frida. This is new for J.Lo though. Ever since a lead in Selena, she's never really done a movie where she's not the main actress, or a movie that is somewhat darker. Nice to see her branching out a bit with the lead roles at least. I remember reading about the massive malls that were developed pretty much just across the border from Mexico. Great way to get consumer dollars back into the American system. *note, sarcasm* SOunds interesting for a movie. Thanks for posting the article. |
