In April 2003, Newmarket Films/Bob Berney release Lukas Moodysson's "Lilya 4-ever" with minimal publicity; they even doesn't release DVD of this movie in US. (They have all US rights of this movie.) Now, Bob Berney does it again. He acquired Lukas Moodysson's A HOLE IN MY HEART at the 2004 Toronto Film Festival , and he will release Lukas Moodysson's A HOLE IN MY HEART in New York’s Cinema Village on Friday. However, I haven't seen any publicity of this movie in US. I don't think that this movie will be a box office hit; however, this movie got [Best Picture] nomination at 2004 European Film Award, so this movie definitely has its audience. I just hope that both movie will be released on DVD in US. SHOW ME LOVE and LILYA were great. Both got 9/10 (A-) ratings from me. It was so stupid LILYA didn't get released on DVD in the US. Netflix has it though so I got it from there and since I loved it I said it was lost and just paid the money to keep it. |
