That is Kurosawa's greatness? That he could make different kinds of good films?

His vision for Ran is some of most perfect cinema I have ever seen in my life. Funny that his eyesight should've been failing at the time.

I think Magnus said something really interesting because the way I see it all the Kurosawa movies I've seen have been the same.

hello i have seen all his movies and i think he's voll cool ey!

by the way, my 10 favorite movies of his are probably these in this order, but it's fucking tough so it can change and it's rough and all, well you know, the stuff that applies to most top lists that are in order (and sometimes even not), so here [i copied it from another textfile of mine]:

1954 Seven Samurai
1985 Ran
1975 Dersu Uzala
1963 High and Low
1960 The Bad Sleep Well
1952 Ikiru
1957 Throne of Blood
1961 Yojimbo
1950 Rashômon
1965 Red Beard

I should receive Stray Dog from Netflix this week. I still have so many of Kurosawa's movies left to see. In a way it's a good thing, knowing that there's still a bountiful treasure waiting to be seen.

I've pretty much liked everything I have seen by him:

1. Ran
2. Rashomon
3. Seven Samurai
4. Hidden Fortress
5. Dreams

Ran and Rashomon are among my all time faves.
