Post subject:  Indie Movies on Starz! Schedule (Online Stream!)

As many of you know from looking at the thread in the Water Cooler, you can access a stream (unreliable. but, quite a nice stream if you're internet is fast enough) of the Starz! Movie Channel.

Although the channel sways mainstream, the channel offers MANY independent/foreign/documentary/small films that wouldn't be a waste of time to watch (plus, discussing 'em intelligently will get you on dolcevita's good...wait, scratch that...GREAT side).

So, I'll keep a posting (as long as the stream stays up ;)) of independent films in this thread. All times are Eastern...

Oh my...I haven't seen a single one of those. Torri you're going to have to host if anyone watches these because for the second thread in a row now I am of zero assistance. shoot i have some catching up to do lest I begin to feel truly inept with y'all putting me to shame with your obscure titles. I've only even heard about 1/2 or these and that's saying something. should be excellent, i wish i could join in.

oops, sorry, I didn't mention that Kill Bill is the only one I've seen. i didn't see 21 grams or Human Stain which I know came out last year, and most of the other ones I haven't even heard of. Febuary I recognize alot more, so those I'll be able to talk about. anyone that sees Fog of war, I already started a thread on it, but only Bradley responded.

A lot of these are prob. made for TV...;)

Boy Meets Girl, Motives, Hope Springs, Our Song, High Roller, Eighteenth Angel, and Into Thin Air are the iffy ones...

Do you have a decent connection, dolce? Because, you might as well catch some of them when you've got time ;).

You know what I think of LiT ;)

P-DL was pretty good. But, asides from a mildly amusing phone sex scene that we shouldn't be laughing at (and, instead, sympathizing with Barry), there aren't many laughs to be found.

Try catching The Quiet American. You might like that one (It was in my top 5)...

quiet American was good, PDL was excellent as well (and I don't think supposed to be funny the way sandler films usually are). LiT was ok, but not near my top.

I second what torrino has said. Watch 21 Grams, Dolce, it is a great flick.

l can hardly watch 21 Grams any more...not because it's depressing or anything...l just have trouble sitting through it. My grade drops everytime, too...l'm afraid l'll end up hating it if l try again. :( But definitely watch it...especially for free. excellent acting, and some other stuff:oops:

Go watch 21 Grams Dolce, it's my favorite film of 2003.

If my computer isn't occupied I'll watch The Human Stain tonight.

^ I started watching it last night but I was tired so I didn't know what the hell was going on... I rewatched the beginning today so I'm an hour and a half in, I'll finish it later on. It's great so far though.
