This is, quite possibly, the prettiest movie of all time. If more people saw it, there's no way it wouldn't win Best Cinematography, Makeup, and Designed Film at the KJs and MPAs. If you're one of those art freaks (zennier, makeshift, etc), see it ASAP. It totally owns the Buena Vista Social Club soundtrack, too.

But, it's a difficult film to sit through - it's about 150 minutes long, and becomes tedious and unnecessary in parts.

There's a good film (and director) in here somewhere, you just need to pay attention (don't passively watch it), ignore the screenplay, and understand that it's a personal film.

See it if you get the chance before the KJs.
