Especially if you are into extremely well-paced, entertaining and fun actioners. I have seen the film several months ago and it is a great ride, one of the best action films I have seen in recent memory. The action just never stops and keeps going. It is like the Transporter franchise or Jet Li flicks, only faster, more fun and more innovative. The French seem to know how to do great action. Espesially Zingaling should be enthralled by it. Just like anyone else who likes action films. DP07, MovieDude..? See it! The movie opens in roughly 95 theatres this weekend. I strongly recommend it to anyone who enjoys fun action. The first reviews to surface at RT are good: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/10005823-district_b13/ The average grade of 8.1/10 for this kind of a film is just incredible. It will go down, but doesn't change the fact that the film's a rollercoaster. Here's the trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/magnolia/districtb13/ |

15 reviews in, still 100% positive. When was the last time you've seen that for an action flick?! |

Looks pretty awesome, but it's also playing pretty far away. I'll have to wait until school's out, if I see it in theaters at all. |

I watched a copy without subtitles... and my French is a bit rusty, so I skipped through all the talky bits. But the action is truly bombastic. Non-stop adrenaline rush. Is it just me though, or do the two main guys (especially the bald one) look like they wouldn't be out of place in a gay leather bar. |

my only regret was that the action kept dying down the further you went into the movie ... its first 20 minutes were the most adrenaline pumped scenes this year. |

True, the beginning was untoppable. The escape, that is. Best thing - it was shot without stunt doubles and 90% withoiut CGI. |

Well, you weren't exactly fond of the last recommendations I have given to ya (Dead End, Downfall...)..but seriously, I knew you'd dig it. I don't know how anyone who likes action films even a bit would not like this one. Where do you see such a wicked ongoing, CGI and stuntmen free action sequence like the escape one? Now on to Shutter, Zing! |

That's the most impressive part about the film. No CGI and no stunt men, at least for the main characters. It just has the really "cool" feel to it. Just can't find these kinds of films lately. Downfall and Dead End sucked, that's why. ![]() |
