I caught this gem on Sunday in Austin. It's directed by Ken Russell and follows the life of Tchaikovsky. This particular screening had a symphonic accompaniment. The screening lasted 3 hours but it was worth it.

In Ken Russell's own words (and as advertised to me prior to seeing the film) "It's the story of the marriage between a homosexual and a nymphomaniac."

It was wild, probably the strangest film I've ever seen in a theatre (topping Faster Pussycat, Kill Kill).
