I don't think we have a thread on this, but this has quite the cast. Not sure if we need yet another 911 movie this year, and the fact that there are so many 911 flicks releasing this year might ruin any awards press for this, but I thought it would be interesting to start a discussion as we get closer to the release..
Stars Adam Sandler, Don Cheadle, Liv Tyler, and Jada Pinkett Smith... comes from the director of Upside of Anger (which was meh, imo)

Adam Sandler may be hilariously funny in his upcoming film Click, but his next project is anything but humorous.
He is currently shooting a film called Empty City, which is about a man who has lost his family in the September 11th attack and he runs into his old college roommate, played by Don Cheadle, who helps him deal with his grief.
"Don't know how to describe the movie, how to sum it up... I can't wait for Mike Binder, the man who wrote it, and hear him discuss it, because I don't know how to phrase this. But it's just about a man who's been through a terrible thing -- he lost his family in 9/11 -- and he has a hard time just living life and just being in the moment," Sandler told ComingSoon.net.
"He doesn't want to know about life. He tries to pretend he never had a family. He can only deal with life by thinking about stuff from his past and growing up and he bumps into... Cheadle plays, we went to dental school together, and my character hasn't spoken to anybody in five years and Cheadle makes him feel comfortable. So it's about friendship, I guess. I'm sorry. I just don't know how to say."
Sandler added that "It's a really interesting script and Mike Binder did a great job with the script and I saw some of it recently and it's a heavy-duty movie."
The movie is not based on a true character, "but [Binder] did a lot of research and met a lot of people it affected," Sandler said. Empty City also stars Jada Pinkett Smith and Liv Tyler.
