In the literature thread I started a topic on Indigenous experiences, since I think we should keep them in mind every Thanksgiving. I don't know nearly as many movies as books however, so am hoping someone else may have some suggestions.
If there is one movie you look at this week, please check out Michael Apted's
Incident at Oglala. It was produced by Robert redford and has to do with the political and judicial events following the re-occuptation and consequent stand-off at wounded Knee in the early 70's. It is very interesting and is along the style of Morris's [b]The Thin Blue Line[/i] when addressing the inconsistencies of the court trial. It ties in alot of broader political events leading up to Peltier's case as well.
