Post Spoorloos (The Vanishing)
So, since we're gonna do NOTLD for the horror night this weekend, I wanted to remind you guys that after you watch NOTLD to tune into IFC sometime this weekend if you have digital cable or a satellite dish and watch the 1988 French horror masterpiece The Vanishing. I really can not recommend this film enough to not only horror fans, but anybody that loves film. It's just an incredible, incredible experience that you are not likely to forget anytime soon. Here's the showtime:

Sunday, March 13th at 4:00 PM EST/1:00 PM PST

So, set your TiVo or whatever and check it out. I think you guys will really like it. Here's the plot synopsis from IMDb:

"Rex and Saskia are on holiday, a young couple in love. They stop at a busy service station and Saskia disappears. Rex dedicates the next three years trying to find her. Then he receives some postcards from her abductor, who promises to reveal what has happened to Saskia. The abductor, Raymond Lemorne, is a chilling character to whom Rex is drawn by his intense desire to learn the truth behind his lovers disappearance. The truth is more sinister than he dared imagine."

I urge you to not seek out any more information about the film, because nearly every review mentions the stunning ending which is best seen without any previous knowledge.
