You guys are all high on Dune 2... I'm skeptical but we'll see! One bonus is it could get the Best Director tiebreaker if we don't get the winner and is a near lock to be +1 to the 3rd tiebreaker of most noms, although you'd think we could pick the BP in 20-25 picks. |

I just think this year looks so weak that a big film with great reviews and really the best film so far this year imo has a real shot at winnng it all, at the very least i do think it will get the most wins. |

Apparently it was filmed a few months ago, whereas Marriage Story was filmed the year before it came out. Although he's made movies like Mistress America that was basically people talking for 2 hours so if it was like that he could edit in time I guess. I think we can let zwackerm off the hook and let him repick unless he wants to risk it, although he won't be able to take Blitz, the End or Juror #2. |
