So after last year's ceremony, in 2023 it will return to NBC, but only on a one-year contract. I guess NBC are seeing how it goes. If there's any controversy, which there will be because it's so easy to generate, then maybe they won't renew for 2024. But let's see. Hopefully they get a good host - I always want Ricky to do it, but I doubt he'll go near it, so perhaps another edgy comedian would be good. I suspect if they have a host at all they'll pick some fat black woman just to push that they're so diverse. |

The worst award show, by far. Unwatchable. Idiotic. Meaningless. And it has the worst ratings. Just get rid of them. |

I thought their ratings were pretty impressive other than the last year when most awards shows saw big drops. It was averaging 18-21M from 2013 - 2020. The Oscars were 24-30M from 2018 - 2020 so really weren't that far off in recent years. |

It's insane how just three years ago the Globes got like 15m+ viewers and the Oscars around 30m. COVID absolutely killed award shows. |

Is The Good Nurse a real movie or did Jessica Chastain film it last week just to get this nomination? ![]() The Globes don't mean much obviously, but Babylon really needed this for marketing reasons. |

James Cameron... He is coming If starfucker Golden Globes didn't nominate Cruise when Maverick got in Drama, it might be hard for him to get a nomination from this point. Why is the Bear in comedy? I guess they think every 30 minute show is. |

He definitely should have been there but could be sour grapes from members to shun him there. Babylon's success here clearly is to ensure Brad Pitt maybe shows up instead? ![]() |

It was always possible Cruise wouldn't be nominated since he returned his awards. I guess they're holding a grudge. Not too surprising. The biggest snub is Danielle Deadwyler not getting nominated for Till. She should be winning and she didn't even get nominated. Instead they nominate Ana de Armas? Even Colman getting in for a movie that isn't that well received over her is crap. I'm not surprised by her nomination though. It is Olivia Colman. I am thrilled by Triangle of Sadness making it into Picture and Supporting Actress. I hope it repeats both of those at the Oscars. Also great to see Carey and Barry Keoghan nominated. I thought Keoghan was better than Gleeson. Was only impressed by Farrell and Keoghan in the film. Oh and the donkey ![]() Women Talking being almost entirely shut out except Screenplay and Score was a shock. Didn't even get Foy or Buckley into Supporting. |

All in all that is a very nice nominations list. No forced inclusion or arty nonsense. All top films. Though it is appalling that The Bad Guys isn't nominated for Best Animated Movie. |

Does anything the Golden Globes ever make sense? I'm still pondering what the point of it is and it was gone for a year and feel like no one cared. ![]() Well we know why, celebrity pandering. Pandering to stars for showing up and stars who won't get much Oscar attention but still want to party! |

Rev wrote: Why is Jamie Lee Curtis being nominated for supporting actress and NOT Stephanie Hsu??? Makes no sense. Stephanie gave the better supporting performance Jamie Lee Curtis has been campaigning hard for an award for this movie. She's almost become the face of it lately. And there's the whole narrative of her never being nominated for an Oscar. It's annoying though. It should absolutely be Stephanie Hsu. Jamie Lee is not that great in EEAAO. If they want to nominate her along with Hsu fine. But she shouldn't be nominated over her. But that seems like what's going to happen a lot of places. |

Olivia Colman keeps getting rewarded for having a posh British accent and being unattractive. Literally any middle aged British woman could've played those roles. |
