With Star Force: The Force Awakens, John Williams now has 50 Oscar nominations.

Thanks to Bridge of Spies, Spielberg has now directed more films to Oscar nominations (128) than anyone else in history. #2 is William Wyler (127).

Jurassic World and Avengers: Age of Ultron are the highest grossing films ever to not be nominated.

The Hunger Games is the highest grossing franchise to not earn a single nomination.

Mad Max: Fury Road becomes only the 4th film ever to receive noms in all technical categories joining Titanic, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World and Hugo.

Ex Machina (15m) is the lowest budgeted film adjusted for inflation to receive a Visual Effects nomination.

Also, isn't Star Wars: The Force Awakens the first domestic all-time #1 since the 1930s to not get a BP nom?
