First significant win for Spotlight. Yes it won Boston too, but given the backdrop of the story, it was heavy favorite to win there. Mad Max was the favorite for LA coming in (and by large did really well here), so being able to wrestling the top category away is a big coup for Spotlight.

Michael Shannon is a cool winner. He is so charismatic and ferocious and nasty in 99 Homes. It is an incredibly fun piece of acting.
