It Follows getting a lot of recognition but they can't make room for the lead. What was in that film? What did he direct? It's stuff like that which annoys me. |

I believe nghtvsn is saying It Follows is more of an actor-driven film, one with no memorable directorial technique on display. Which is a bit nuts. |

Yeah, going back to read it again it does sound like that. But he's wrong. It's a director's film, and it got noms in editing, cinematography, and directing. I wouldn't say the actors were that great. |

Anyway, the directing and cinematography were splendid. Way more notable than the performances. I wouldn't nominate any of the performances but David Robert Mitchell's directing job is still my favorite of the year and so is the score music. I was very pleased with its nominations. |
