Well, Selma finally scores. I am surprised by the omissions of Belle and Mr. Turner, especially the former. I'm guessig The Grand Budapest Hotel, Birdman and Into the Woods will win. So, Interstellar is contemporary...hmmmm. |

If Boyhood somehow gets a nom here at the Oscars, that'll officially signal the all-out love for it. I'm suspecting it'll grab a surprise nom somewhere beyond the 6 sure ones to just signal that, like Score for The Hurt Locker. |

I doubt it. I mean The Departed was obviously pretty loved too (and I never doubted it would win BP, unlike some), yet it ended up with just five noms, despite PLENTY of opportunities to give it something else. |

The Mr. Turner snub is unfortunate. I hope Maleficent wins its category. |

The costumes are contemporary, but the film is very much science-fiction. So it depends on what they judge. |
