I am not rooting for or against it, but the film is obviously a political equation to its very bone. And it should, by its very existence, force people to consider how they regard Snowden, his actions, his choice to plant roots in Putin's Russia, etc.

Selma will get nominated, the reviews are just too good. It did get a globe nomination. They just screwed up with the screeners.

She's not ahead of Knightley, silly. Knightley was nominated by BAFTA, Streep wasn't, whereas Knightley has been nominated everywhere where Streep has also been nominated.
