I believe many critical groups may cite The Immigrant throughout the season. There is obviously a deep respect for James Gray in several circles and, by extension, disdain for the way the Weinsteins tried to bury his well-received film.

Woo! Go Patricia Arquette. Maybe she'll win the Oscar.

I'm here for J.K. Simmons and Patricia Arquette steamrolling through the season.

Nice Best First Film recognition for Jennifer Kent.

Boyhood is gonna sweep the critics awards.

BTW, I still think that Spall will get a Best Actor nom at the Oscars.

They were going to vote for Birdman, I hear, but then they remembered it depicts an NY newspaper critic with slightly fewer redeeming qualities than Buffalo Bill.

Steve Carell is not campaigning for Best Supporting Actor. Simmons' main competitor is Ed Norton.
