Best Film: Boyhood Top Films: American Sniper Birdman Gone Girl The Imitation Game Inherent Vice Interstellar Selma The Theory of Everything Unbroken Wild (I suspect they are going to relegate Whiplash to their Top 10 Independent Films list, which is often extremely hard to predict. Last year's list included Ain't Them Bodies Saints, In a World..., Much Ado About Nothing, The Place Beyond the Pines, and Sightseers. It is my hope this may be the one high-profile place where Locke and/or Tracks show up this awards season.) Best Director: Richard Linklater, Boyhood Best Actor: Eddie Redmayne, The Theory of Everything Best Actress: Reese Witherspoon, Wild Best Supporting Actor: Edward Norton, Birdman Best Supporting Actress: Patricia Arquette, Boyhood Best Original Screenplay: Birdman Best Adapted Screenplay: Gone Girl Best Ensemble: Inherent Vice Best Animated Feature: Big Hero 6 Best Documentary: Citizenfour Best Foreign Language Film: Ida Documentary runners-up: Finding Vivian Maier Last Days in Vietnam Life Itself National Gallery Rich Hill Foreign-language film runners-up: Force Majeure Leviathan Mommy Two Days, One Night Wild Tales |

Since they like to honor something that usually gets a luke-warm critical response at best I went with Big Eyes ![]() And I went back and forth between Boyhood and Birdman for their pick of Best Film of the Year but ultimately saw them going with Birdman. |
