I will give her a B, she wasn't awful, but some of the jokes didn't work. I thought Macfarlane was funnier last year. |

I usually really like Ellen, but this just didn't work, I gave her a C+/B-. She did a great job in 2007, but something seemed off here. |

C- The monologue was okay at best, and almost every interaction she had in the audience brought the show to a grinding halt, but the pizza bit did pay off, and the selfie was good. She also had a couple of good jokes throughout the show. She wasn't the complete disaster that I might have implied in the Oscar thread, but I don't want to see her host again anytime soon. |

B/B- She didn't seem too into it (she didn't really want to do it) but she had some enjoyable moments and not too many clunkers. |

Ellen basically just did another one of her routines for the show. That is her style of humor....it's awkward. It's not like she didn't try...its what she does everyday on her show, and it's what her standup is like. Is it fitting for the Oscars? Maybe not. I'd give her a B. |

Killed it in some aspects, the rest was a little too safe. I liked the idea of getting natural funny moments from the celebrities as well. That may not have been everyone's cup of tea, but it was pretty original and effective as seen from the social media aspect. Overall B+. |
