Daniel Bruhl incoming.

I don't even recall how it was announced last year but at least I'll be up that early to hear it live.

Can they switch it to 638PST?

That would really be better for me.

Edited to make this the general nominations discussion. Given that I will of course be up staring at my TV with feverish anticipation as usual like a lunatic, I'll edit as soon as all the nominees are up.

Is there anywhere to stream them? I'm currently without cable because I'm moving in a few weeks. :P

I thought so, too.

If they announce in alphabetical order (didn't they not one year?), I pray Bruce Dern's name is first in the Best Actor lineup, which means Christian Bale and Leonardo DiCaprio are out and Robert Redford is, presumably, in.

They didn't do it alphabetically for Best Picture in 2011, and I think they purposely left Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close as the last one. I remember they had 4 films on the left, then 4 on the right, before showing E&I last in the upper middle.

In what world does DiCaprio go before Dern if listed in alphabetical order?

I hope they don't announce alphabetically. Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close sneakily being announced last as the final Best Picture nominee is one of the funniest moments ever during one of these things. I hope the same thing happens to The Butler or August: Osage County or something.

There were lots of "Woahs!" last year if I remember correctly when EL&IC was announced, right? I'd love if they didn't do alphabetically the announcements.

Even if it is alphabetical, The Butler will still surprise us because we will forget it is LEE DANIELS' The Butler. ;)

I am in a bit of a dilemma. I haven't missed a single nominations announcement live since 2003.

However, tomorrow there is a press screening of Non-Stop right at that time that I am invited to.

Dammit! Fuck...
