Quote: BEST EDITED FEATURE FILM (DRAMATIC) 12 Years a Slave Captain Phillips Gravity Her Saving Mr. Banks
BEST EDITED FEATURE FILM (COMEDY OR MUSICAL) American Hustle August: Osage County Inside Llewyn Davis Nebraska The Wolf of Wall Street BEST EDITED ANIMATED FEATURE FILM Despicable Me 2 Frozen Monsters University BEST EDITED DOCUMENTARY (FEATURE) 20 Feet from Stardom Blackfish Tim’s Vermeer http://www.indiewire.com/article/her-gr ... d-nomineesYay for Inside Llewyn Davis! Where is Stories We Tell? Saving Mr. Banks is a strange inclusion. They must admire the way the two stories interrupt each other throughout.

Oh, and after a very strong run with the guilds, this is a notable miss for Dallas Buyers Club, particularly at the expense of Saving Mr. fucking Banks. Philomena and Rush also miss.

Re: American Cinema Editors Awards nominations
Rush missing is fucking ridiculous. Also, Dallas Buyers Club couldn't carryv on with its hype.
It is pretty clear to me that weÄve got at least eight BP nominees ready:
12 Years a Slave Captain Phillips Gravity Her Nebraska American Hustle The Wolf of all Street
Those really realyl should be in, unless Wolf pulls a Girl with the Dragon Tattoo...
Now the remaining spots (how many anyway?!) will be between Dallas Buyers Club, Inside Llewyn Davis, Saving Mr. Banks and Blue Jasmine. Frankly, I could see three being nominated. The question is - which will miss?

Re: American Cinema Editors Awards nominations
Winners: Drama - Captain Phillips, Comedy/Musical - American Hustle, Animated - Frozen
CP winning over Gravity (and to a less degree, over 12YAS as well) is the big surprise.

Re: American Cinema Editors Awards nominations
This hurts Gravity more than it hurts 12 Years a Slave.

Re: American Cinema Editors Awards nominations
It hurts both of them equally. And by that I mean not at all.

Re: American Cinema Editors Awards nominations
Not true. In the past 20 years, only three times a movie won Editing at the Oscars and lost the Eddie before that. Given how important editing is for the BP category, that definitely does say something. The thing is, Gravity was expected to win here, 12 Years a Slave wasn't.

Re: American Cinema Editors Awards nominations
So neither of them will win BP. Got it.
