 How many Oscar noms will Lee Daniels' The Butler score? Back in Aufust it seems like The Butler would be a serious Oscars contender, at least nominatons-wise with Oprah Winfrey being the top contender for the Best Supporting Actress Oscar.
But even tough the film was a success, the overall response seems to be more muted than expected and films like 12 Years a Slave really took its spotlight.
The film scored three SAG noms, but failed to register at the Golden Globes. The critics awards are ignoring it almost completely. How do you think will it fare at the Oscars?
Right now I'm thinking it'll walk away with just a single nom for Winfrey. I could, however, see a scenario in which it gets nothing.

I believe it is very important to note it did extremely well with a body composed of professional actors, many of them Academy members, even if it failed to connect with a group of questionable foreign "journalists" and groups of critics raging against the dying of the light of their jobs.
