Oh, Her is almost certainly going to win the top prize if they are awarding it for its production design.

Dear everyone who will be voting for future award ceremonies,

Lupita Nyong'o wasn't that great in 12 Years a Slave.

Thanks,

Me

I agree (and unlike you I actually liked the film a lot). But she'll win because she gets her ass whipped.

Adèle Exarchopoulos also gets her ass whooped. ;)

I guess I don't care if it ends up winning Best Picture. I mean, there are definitely better choices but I can deal with it. I was much more angry when Argo won last year. ;) But she just doesn't even deserve to be in the discussion.

Dito. Or maybe it was her eating ass.

James Franco's performance in Spring Breakers was undoubtedly excellent, yet an exceedingly unlikely choice for awards attention.

They're having lunch now.

Inside Lllewyn Davis will pop up somewhere. It came in second twice and won Best Score. I'm thinking Screenplay or Director.

With respect to Leto's very solid turn, I wish Franco had won the prize outright rather than in a tie.

Gravity is taking this. It has director, editing.

Doesn't LAFCA like splits, though?

Bruce Dern got Actor, Before Midnight got Screenplay.

It's best actress now. If Bullock wins it, then I'm completely sure Gravity is taking this one.

Yeah.Though Bullock would be such a non-LAFCA choice...

Look like it's between Gravity and Her for Picture here. Thinking Her.

Post subject:  Re: Los Angeles Film Crtiics Association winners

Best Picture will probably be 12 Years a Slave with Her a runner-up.

Ha, another tie.

Post subject:  Re: Los Angeles Film Crtiics Association winners

I'm glad Her tied it after so many runner up positions. It smelled like a win for Gravity and while a tie, it's still a win.
